With the Grubbs Energy solar calculator, get a free, personalised estimate of your energy production and potential savings in just 2 minutes, with no commitment.

How much could you save by harnessing the power of the sun? The answer is just a click away with Grubbs Energy’s online solar calculator. You can instantly visualise the potential of your future solar installation. In just 2 minutes and with no commitment, you can get a personalised estimate of your potential energy savings.

A free tool with unlimited use

This calculator is suitable for both households and businesses, and it is completely free. You are free to run as many simulations as you wish. A PDF version is also available to help you compare your results.

An estimate based on your region’s weather conditions

To provide results that are as accurate as possible, the tool takes into account the weather conditions specific to your region. Your location is required because solar radiation and sunlight levels are not the same everywhere on the island. For example, for systems with the same capacity, an installation in coastal areas will produce more energy than one located in the highlands.

How can you run the simulation ?

In the “See your solar savings before you commit” section, click on Start my simulation. You will then be redirected to a form to complete. To generate your estimate, you will need your current monthly electricity bill.

The solar calculator : step by step

Step 1 : Enter the amount of your monthly electricity bill and select the type of property: household or business. Then indicate whether you consume more electricity during the day, mainly in the evening, or have a mixed consumption pattern (throughout the day).

Step 2 : Enter your location (district and locality). The estimate takes into account the sunlight levels and weather conditions in your area.

Step 3 : Specify the number of panels you plan to install. Once selected, you will instantly receive the following projections:

  • the system size in kWp (kilowatt-peak, a unit used to measure the maximum power output of a solar installation)

  • an estimated annual energy production in kWh.

Step 4 : The calculator asks you to indicate whether or not you plan to use a battery. The advantage of this equipment is that it stores the energy produced for later use, particularly when solar production decreases.

Step 5 : You receive a detailed estimate based on all the information entered into the calculator:

  • Monthly savings (in rupees/month)

  • New monthly electricity bill (in rupees/month)

  • Annual savings (in rupees/year)

  • Savings over 5, 10 and 20 years

  • Estimated solar production (in kWh)

  • Suggested system size (in kWp)

  • Electricity bill coverage (in %)

  • Annual CO₂ emissions avoided (in tonnes)

In this section, you can also view four types of projections:

  • the evolution of electricity costs over time, with and without a solar installation

  • cumulative savings over time

  • monthly savings with and without a battery

  • savings over 20 years, with or without a battery.

This estimate is indicative and cannot replace a technical site visit by our specialised team for the complete design of your solar project.
