Deep-rooted beliefs in responsible governance
Our colleague Pascal Chadun, Administrative Director at Grubbs Energy and an active member of the Rotary Club of Albion, embodies one of the fundamental ideals shared by these two highly committed organisations: building a sustainable future through responsible initiatives inspired by solidarity and dedicated to the common good.
Immersing in the Rotary spirit through work sessions and exceptional evenings
The conference was further enhanced by two distinctions received at District and Regional levels, as well as by the appointment of Dominique Passinay as District Governor Nominee Designate (DGND 2028–2029). Plenary sessions and workshops punctuated this outstanding gathering.
Among the highlights of fellowship were the Home Hospitality evening and the opening of the Arch C. Klumph House of Friendship. Over several days, participants enjoyed meaningful exchanges in a warm and harmonious atmosphere, with cocktail receptions and lunches shared in the spirit of fellowship. Rotarians also appreciated the friendly ambiance of the gala dinner and the international One Rotary Centre evening.
Through this conference, the Rotary Club of Albion once again demonstrated that the union of talents can create strong human connections in service of the community. As Pascal Chadun pointed out, the purpose of these gatherings is to foster bonds through diversity—not only among Rotarians from Mauritius, but also across the Indian Ocean region and Africa.
Looking back at the evening of 5 may : induction ceremony and awards presentation
On 5 May 2026, the Club took another step in expanding its circle with the induction of three new members: Sevika, Vinay and Arjun. The evening was also honoured by the distinguished presence of District 9220 Governor Bernard Leong Son.
Emotion was also at the heart of the event with the presentation of Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recognitions to six members: ADG Stellio, PP Gilles, PP Hans, IPP Dominique, President Carine and PE Ravi. This prestigious distinction acknowledges their commitment and contributions to the major causes supported by The Rotary Foundation.
